Night-time in New York City, the time of day during which many of the city’s freaks and other strange phenomena would come out from their hiding places, and for Chip he was no exception. Tonight he found himself in a place he frequented: an old automotive junkyard which served as a particularly handy place to scrounge for parts when his motorcycle needed repairs. However, tonight he would uncover something he wouldn’t have ever expected, another fellow freak of the night.

It’s been sometime since the motorcycle incident that his rookery brother Lexington made to which he himself messed the entire vehicle up. The smaller gargoyle was definitely not happy with this development, so in an effort to make it up to him, he was scouring an automotive junkyard they went to last time to gather up the parts for the bike. Tonight he was alone, looking into piled up cars and motorcycles for the appropriate parts, being pretty cautious to not be seen by humans after what happened the last few times.

“Ugh…doing this alone is harder than it looks…” He muttered to himself as he kept looking.

“Oh no you dont…” He smirked and gave a look of determination as he kept driving on, now behind the wolf man, but he revs his engine more just to catch up, not following dangerously close to the wolf man as they made the next turn. It was only a matter of time before he was able to get to a little bit side to side with Chip. Just a little more so they could draw this race….

“Hey, Chip! Your tail light is out!” While that may have been a lame attempt of a distraction, the others tail was indeed out and he had a curiosity to pull on it. Then again, that would be bad sportsmanship.

Chip simply laughed, not being fooled for one minute. That was one of the oldest tricks in the book. The wolf was tempted to keep on going on ahead and leave Brooklyn in his dust, but that’d be way too easy. Not to mention boring. After all, this wasn’t about who was better anyway. Taking heed to his friend’s warning, Chip came to a sudden stop alongside the road and quickly peered around to the back of his bike, just to keep up the ruse of being fooled.

“Hey, you cheater!” Chip exclaimed with a playful smile before kicking his motorcycle into gear and speeding on to catch up to the other.

He had to laugh at his own bad joke just to mess with the other as the wolf man was really getting close to him. Once he made another turn, this was definitely the last straight road that they had to finish before they were at the garage again. This was it, the last lane. Would the gargoyle make it? Probably, but for all he knew, chip might have this in the bag with the bike he has. Either way, he was definitely having fun not wreaking this bike like last time. It was clear on his face that he was really having a good time.
