Night-time in New York City, the time of day during which many of the city’s freaks and other strange phenomena would come out from their hiding places, and for Chip he was no exception. Tonight he found himself in a place he frequented: an old automotive junkyard which served as a particularly handy place to scrounge for parts when his motorcycle needed repairs. However, tonight he would uncover something he wouldn’t have ever expected, another fellow freak of the night.

It’s been sometime since the motorcycle incident that his rookery brother Lexington made to which he himself messed the entire vehicle up. The smaller gargoyle was definitely not happy with this development, so in an effort to make it up to him, he was scouring an automotive junkyard they went to last time to gather up the parts for the bike. Tonight he was alone, looking into piled up cars and motorcycles for the appropriate parts, being pretty cautious to not be seen by humans after what happened the last few times.

“Ugh…doing this alone is harder than it looks…” He muttered to himself as he kept looking.

He wiped his face from what sweat he made and smiled at their progress on the now finished bike. Thanks to Chip, he can now show off the new bike to Lexington in a way to say he was sorry about the first one being wrecked due to his screw up adventure with Demona. “I really appreciate you helping me with this bike, Chip.”

At the question about his jacket, he looked down at the material. “When me and my brothers were assembling the last bike, I was poking around a few places and found this jacket just lying around. No one was around it so I just took it.” He chuckled a bit.

“You just snatched it, huh? Nice.” Chip grit his teeth and emitted a small groan as he pulled hard on the spanner, tightening up the last bolt. And with that, the bike was complete. He set the spanner down on the ground and stood up to fully admire their creation. “Man, this is one mighty-fine ride if I do say so myself.” Chip was grinning like mad, chest filled with pride at the beautiful bike. “Say we fill ‘er up and see if that engine purrs?”

The gargoyle nodded with a smirk and went to get the gas can so he could full up the motorcycle. Once it was full, he went to start the engine and with small surprise, he grinned when the engine started smoothly. “Lex is so going to love to see this…” He then looked up at Chip with another smirk.

“Wanna race around?”
