Night-time in New York City, the time of day during which many of the city’s freaks and other strange phenomena would come out from their hiding places, and for Chip he was no exception. Tonight he found himself in a place he frequented: an old automotive junkyard which served as a particularly handy place to scrounge for parts when his motorcycle needed repairs. However, tonight he would uncover something he wouldn’t have ever expected, another fellow freak of the night.

It’s been sometime since the motorcycle incident that his rookery brother Lexington made to which he himself messed the entire vehicle up. The smaller gargoyle was definitely not happy with this development, so in an effort to make it up to him, he was scouring an automotive junkyard they went to last time to gather up the parts for the bike. Tonight he was alone, looking into piled up cars and motorcycles for the appropriate parts, being pretty cautious to not be seen by humans after what happened the last few times.

“Ugh…doing this alone is harder than it looks…” He muttered to himself as he kept looking.

He picked up a screw driver and a welding mask as well that was designed for his beak. “Lets go.”

With the two of them working together and Brooklyn following the wolf man’s commands, they were able to make some great progress with these next few hours.

In a matter of hours the two of them had managed to almost fully assemble the engine of Brooklyn’s new bike. Having finished welding one last part, he flicked off his welding torch and lifted his mask. “Whew. That just about does it.” He sighed lightly, pausing to wipe the sweat from his brow. All that was left to do was to bolt the last piece in place, fill the tank with gas and fire it up. The wolf grabbed a spanner and a few bolts as he got to work finishing the job.

“So, I’ve been meaning to say. I really like how that jacket looks on you.” Chip remarked while tightening on the first bolt, referring to the black leather jacket the gargoyle wore. “Mind if I ask where you got it from?”

He wiped his face from what sweat he made and smiled at their progress on the noe finished bike. Thanks to Chip, he can now show off the new bike to Lexington in a way to say he was sorry about the first one being wrecked due to his screw up adventure with Demona. “I really appreciate you helping me with this bike, Chip.”

At the question about his jacket, he looked down at the material. “When me and my brothers were assembling the last bike, I was poking around a few places and found this jacket just lying around. No one was around it so I just took it.” He chuckled a bit.
