Night-time in New York City, the time of day during which many of the city’s freaks and other strange phenomena would come out from their hiding places, and for Chip he was no exception. Tonight he found himself in a place he frequented: an old automotive junkyard which served as a particularly handy place to scrounge for parts when his motorcycle needed repairs. However, tonight he would uncover something he wouldn’t have ever expected, another fellow freak of the night.

It’s been sometime since the motorcycle incident that his rookery brother Lexington made to which he himself messed the entire vehicle up. The smaller gargoyle was definitely not happy with this development, so in an effort to make it up to him, he was scouring an automotive junkyard they went to last time to gather up the parts for the bike. Tonight he was alone, looking into piled up cars and motorcycles for the appropriate parts, being pretty cautious to not be seen by humans after what happened the last few times.

“Ugh…doing this alone is harder than it looks…” He muttered to himself as he kept looking.

“Yeab those leathers fit you well with beibg a biker and all. Heheh.” He looked down and touched the fabric. “Oh, this? This is the usual material of what my clan wears. At least that’s how it was 1000 years ago. I don’t know if there are any updates to the clothing for or kind or if there are any gargoyles still alive right now…”

“Oh, sorry to hear that…” Chip’s smile faded a little at Brooklyn’s uncertainty. He wished there was a way to help him out, but he hadn’t the faintest idea what he could do. “Uh, did you want something to drink maybe?” Suggested Chip, hoping that might lift the gargoyle’s spirits again.

“Uh, sure! What do you have?” In truth he hasn’t tried that many drinks in this century so he was willing to try anything new.

Chip hopped up off the couch to his feet. “Let’s see. I’ll be back in a moment.” The wolf left the room for a moment or two before returning shortly after with several cans of soda in here. “Here, not sure if you’ve had this before but it’s called ‘soda’. It’s sort of a sweet drink that tastes like fruit.” He explained, popping open a can and handing it to the gargoyle.

He observed the can, looking around it just to see how it opens until he followed the motion that the other did in opening it. He somewhat flinched at the ‘hiss’ sound and gave an embarrassed chuckle. He took a sip of the beverage and slightly coughed at the fizz of it, but his smile said otherwise. “This taste great. I’ve seen these around, but haven’t gotten a chance to try them out.”
