Night-time in New York City, the time of day during which many of the city’s freaks and other strange phenomena would come out from their hiding places, and for Chip he was no exception. Tonight he found himself in a place he frequented: an old automotive junkyard which served as a particularly handy place to scrounge for parts when his motorcycle needed repairs. However, tonight he would uncover something he wouldn’t have ever expected, another fellow freak of the night.

It’s been sometime since the motorcycle incident that his rookery brother Lexington made to which he himself messed the entire vehicle up. The smaller gargoyle was definitely not happy with this development, so in an effort to make it up to him, he was scouring an automotive junkyard they went to last time to gather up the parts for the bike. Tonight he was alone, looking into piled up cars and motorcycles for the appropriate parts, being pretty cautious to not be seen by humans after what happened the last few times.

“Ugh…doing this alone is harder than it looks…” He muttered to himself as he kept looking.

The two had been enjoying one another’s company so much that they must’ve lost track of the time. “Damn. You really should be going.” Chip exclaimed as he let go of the gargoyle and quickly got to his feet. There was still enough time for him to get home before the sun would emerge over the horizon. The wolf took Brooklyn by his claw and hurriedly made their way back to the abandoned warehouse. “It’s been great hanging with you tonight. Wanna do the same tomorrow?” He asked after pulling open the roller door.

He hurried over to his bike and started the engine, looking at his new friend with a nod as he got his gear together. “You got it, Chip. I’ll meet you here or at the garage. Whatever comes first.”

And with a fist bump, the gargoyle sped off into the twilight sky. He barley made it to his perch on the castle and he forgot his loincloth back at Chip’s place, but he was in too much of a hurry to notice. Before the ithers could question what he was wearing, they all turned to stone, even Brooklyns new clothes that belong to him.

“Sure, most likely at the garage. You take care man.” Chip returned the fist bump and have Brooklyn a reassuring pat on the shoulder as he drove away out of sight. Now on his own, the wolf sighed and smiled fondly to himself as he headed back inside. After all the time he had spent alone, tonight was just what the wolf man needed to reinvigorate him. Chip stepped into his bedroom only to notice a bundle of something piled on the floor. He went to pick it up to have a better look, and immediaely recognised it once he held it out. It was Brooklyn’s loincloth. “Oh… He must’ve left it here by accident.”

The cloth would have somewhat of a strong musk to it if the wolf man were to smell it closely as it did look very well worn.

Once nighttime came, the gargoyles woke up from their sleep and start to question the red gargoyle of what he was wearing and about Chip. While cautious at first, the fact that this was not blowing up in his face was actually a good sign so they were allowing the gargoyle to be around chip more as long as he still does patrols from time to time. Now that he was free, Brooklyn drove to the garage, feeling rather excited to see his friend again.
