Night-time in New York City, the time of day during which many of the city’s freaks and other strange phenomena would come out from their hiding places, and for Chip he was no exception. Tonight he found himself in a place he frequented: an old automotive junkyard which served as a particularly handy place to scrounge for parts when his motorcycle needed repairs. However, tonight he would uncover something he wouldn’t have ever expected, another fellow freak of the night.

It’s been sometime since the motorcycle incident that his rookery brother Lexington made to which he himself messed the entire vehicle up. The smaller gargoyle was definitely not happy with this development, so in an effort to make it up to him, he was scouring an automotive junkyard they went to last time to gather up the parts for the bike. Tonight he was alone, looking into piled up cars and motorcycles for the appropriate parts, being pretty cautious to not be seen by humans after what happened the last few times.

“Ugh…doing this alone is harder than it looks…” He muttered to himself as he kept looking.

“Probably not…hehe…night, Chip….” With that said he started to fall into the sleepy abyss, not even thinking about how he was going to turn to stone once the sun comes up. For now he ws enoying himsefl in the precense of the wolf man.

That night Chip slept calmly and peacefully, more so than he had in a long, long time. He had spent so many restless nights alone that being able to share a bed with someone else was a blessing… That was until dawn. Come sunrise the wolf was torn from his peaceful rest by the sensation of something cold and heavy pressing up against him. With a tired moan Chip lifted his head and glanced over to where Brooklyn lay, only to give a sudden gasp of shock and stumbled out of bed. “Holy shit!”

What chip saw was what seemed to be an exact replica of Brooklyn, but the stone version of him. It had the same clothes, beak, antlers, wings and everything that identified the gargoyle, but turned to stone. It seemed unmoving and still like the ones that you would see on buildings to look intimidating to the ones down below. As far as the expression of the statue goes, the face was very peaceful looking as if there was nothing wrong with its current state.
