Night-time in New York City, the time of day during which many of the city’s freaks and other strange phenomena would come out from their hiding places, and for Chip he was no exception. Tonight he found himself in a place he frequented: an old automotive junkyard which served as a particularly handy place to scrounge for parts when his motorcycle needed repairs. However, tonight he would uncover something he wouldn’t have ever expected, another fellow freak of the night.

It’s been sometime since the motorcycle incident that his rookery brother Lexington made to which he himself messed the entire vehicle up. The smaller gargoyle was definitely not happy with this development, so in an effort to make it up to him, he was scouring an automotive junkyard they went to last time to gather up the parts for the bike. Tonight he was alone, looking into piled up cars and motorcycles for the appropriate parts, being pretty cautious to not be seen by humans after what happened the last few times.

“Ugh…doing this alone is harder than it looks…” He muttered to himself as he kept looking.

Despite the journey only lasting several seconds Chip couldn’t help but hold firmly onto Brooklyn as if for dear life. The short glide off of the ground felt nowhere near as stable as when he rode with the glider on his bike. Before he knew it the two of them had reached the brick wall of the tower. Opening his eyes the wolf took a moment to examine his surroundings before noticing the nearby window. “Alright, got it.” He gave Brooklyn a nod and reached out to grab the frame before pulling himself inside.

The gargoyle would follow suit to the window Chip went into and closed it behind him. “Okay…never doing that again unless am emergency.” He stretched his back which made a few good pop sounds. As of now they would be in one of the office rooms of the employees that work here. Thankfully they were gone since the shift is over. The office itself looked generic as it could be with not much excitement to it.

“Ready to go up? There shouldn’t be anyone up on this floor.”

Landing on his feet, Chip glanced around to find himself inside of an office. He sniffed at the air and listened out for anyone, but he couldn’t detect any other people with his canine senses. “I think we’re in the clear.” Said Chip with a sure nod and turned back to Brooklyn. “That was pretty scary man. The only flying I like to do is with the glider on my bike.”

The gargoyle nodded back. “Was pretty scary carrying you since you add more weight to my gliding, but no big deal. Come on. Let me show you around.” He motions the other to follow as he walked out of the office and headed towards the nearest elevator.

“These offices are filled with humans for most of the day with a few staying for the night till they leave. Not much to see down here unless you wanna look at people’s personal stuff.”
