Night-time in New York City, the time of day during which many of the city’s freaks and other strange phenomena would come out from their hiding places, and for Chip he was no exception. Tonight he found himself in a place he frequented: an old automotive junkyard which served as a particularly handy place to scrounge for parts when his motorcycle needed repairs. However, tonight he would uncover something he wouldn’t have ever expected, another fellow freak of the night.

It’s been sometime since the motorcycle incident that his rookery brother Lexington made to which he himself messed the entire vehicle up. The smaller gargoyle was definitely not happy with this development, so in an effort to make it up to him, he was scouring an automotive junkyard they went to last time to gather up the parts for the bike. Tonight he was alone, looking into piled up cars and motorcycles for the appropriate parts, being pretty cautious to not be seen by humans after what happened the last few times.

“Ugh…doing this alone is harder than it looks…” He muttered to himself as he kept looking.

After a few more moments of staring at the wolf, the older gargoyle nodded with approval. “I trust your words, Chip.” He then looked back towards the crimson gargoyle and nodded to him as well.

“Just don’t let this be a constant things, okay?”

Brooklyn nodded to him. “Yes, Goliath. I will make a better effort to come here on time.”

Through his constant firm stare, he did start to show off a very brief smile until it wss gone. At least this time his facial expression was much softer as he turned away. “Take care you too.” With that said, he jumped off of the roof and thanks to a wind current it lifted the large being into the air as he soared off. Bronx would bop his head at both of their legs and run off back to the castle, climbing up the side of the building with ease.

With a gracious nod Chip beamed with a smile back at Goliath. “Thank you, sir. I’ll do my best to make Sure Brooklyn returns here regularly.” He said back before the large gargoyle swooped off on his own. Bronx’s little headbutt make the wolf grunt a little out surprise, but he simply gave a laugh and waved goodbye to the two as they took their leave.

As soon as the two gargoyles were gone, the crimson gargoyle let out a sigh of relief followed by a chuckle. “That went…better than I expected.” In all honesty he was expecting Goliath to be pissed at him for not being back at the castle last night, but he was glad that their leader approved of him and Chip.

Brooklyn wasn’t the only one relieved. Coming face to face with a guy like Goliath was enough to fill even him with a sense of dream. “As am I, Brook.” Chip replied and stepped closer to Brooklyn, placing an arm around his shoulders. “I’ve met some real frightening folks in my time, but your leader was really something else. Just something about the way he talks gives me the chills.”

“Heh. Yeah he can do that a lot. Even back in 994 he was like that whenever me and my rookery brothers get in trouble. I guess that’s why the humans gave him the name Goliath.” He placed his hand on the others shoulders as well with a smile.

“Now that we’re here, what do you want to do tonight?”

Instantly Chip recognised the sight of the animalistic Bronx as he made his approach to the roof where he and Brooklyn stood. There was no mistaking him for sure, but the other arrival was unfamiliar to the wolf man. Seeing the tall, authoritative male land before him, Chip couldn’t help but stand still with awe and feel a touch anxious. “Uh, hello there.” Chip began, keeping his nerve while he took a step closer. “I’m Chip, but I take it Brooklyn’s mentioned me to you before.” He maintained eye contact with the taller gargoyle, his intimidating stature not seeming the kind he’d want to anger.

Bronks immediately ran towards Brooklyn just to give a tackle like hug and kicks to his face. Thankfully the red gargoyle could hold his own ground and not fall down. “Heheh. Nice to see you two, Bronk. Hi Goliath. Sorry for not showing up last night. Got too side tracked.” The red gargoyle rubbed the back of his head.

The new gargoyle to Chip just gave him minor stare before nodding at Brooklyn first then the wolf man. “Yes. Brooklyn and his rookery brothers have told me about you. So far everyone besides Hudson has taking a liking too you which is fine by me…what brings you here?”

Chip’s ears twitched at the sound of Goliath’s voice. He spoke in a deep, resonant bass tone that matched well with his commanding appearance. “Uh, you see Brooklyn spent the day at my home and he wanted to let you guys know he was alright.“ Answered Chip, still feeling a little intimidated by the clan leader. “He though it would be a good idea if I came as well.”

Once bronx wqs done licking the reg gargoyle, he went over to sniff at Chip and nudge his head at his leg as if asking for attention.

As for Goliath, iff they are not before, his eyes were still white, not showing is pupils at all until he lowered that one aspect from his demeanor. He then walked forward just to get a better look at the wolf man. “I believe you…Chip is It? Brooklyn was right to bring you here just so I can get a good look at you…I trust that you treated him well?”

Chip felt something against his leg and glanced down to see Bronx was rubbing up against him. Closing his eyes and taking a deep breath the wolf regained his focus and knelt down to pet the animalistic gargoyle’s head. “I can assure you that I did.” He spoke with confidence in his voice and cast a glance back over his shoulder to the red male. “With the same amount of kindness since he rescued me from being crushed by a pile of scrapmetal. Can’t say I get much kindness from folks these days.”

The gargoyle started to pant somewhat like a dog when he was being petted by the wolf man. Brooklyn looked away from his leader and back at Chip with a smile once the other wss referring to him. Meanwhile, Goliath kept up his state which had then softened somewhat. “He did tell me that and I’m proud that he did so.” With that said he came closer to wolf, standing now just a yard sway from him.

“I don’t mean this to be any sort of threat, but if there is ever such harm to my clan from you, you would not like the consequences…” The tall gargoyle said with a firm and yet deep voice that didn’t sound cruel at all, but just with warning.

Come on, up! My clan might be able to see us when we are on the roof.” He slowly lowered down the ladder for his humanoid wolf friend.

Chip lifted his friend up with ease due to his smaller, slimmer frame, and stepped back once Brooklyn got a hold on the metal fire escape. “Thanks pal! I can’t wait to meet your bros again.” Said the wolf with anticipation as he grabbed onto the rung of the ladder and climbed his way to the landing. Both boots firmly on the floor he looked back up and grinned at the other male. “Let’s not keep ‘em waiting.”

He nodded and walks up the fire escape till they reached the roof. While of course it was not as high as the actual building itself, it was still pretty up there enough just to get a decent look at the castle above the clouds.

“Any minute now Bronks is gonna pick up my smell and tell the others I’m here. It’s not our usual time to scout around the city.” Brooklyn said while looking up.

As if on cue, two large beings would glide their way down to the two figures on the roof. One was the gargoyle dog like creature and the other was a grayish gargoyle with long black hair, a large build and an intimidating look to him.

Chip followed suit and swung his leg over the seat, sitting down in front of his companion. “This is probably gonna be uncomfortable most of the way, but I’ll try to take things gentle.“ He assured Brooklyn over his shoulder before firing up the engine. The bike started up with a familiar rumble, sending vibrations through both of their bodies as the wolf kicked the bike’s stand up and the roller door opened automatically. Together they rolled on out and drove off into the night, Chip taking care as he steered his trusty ride.

“Just don’t hit any bumps and we should be fine.” He smiled as he held onto the wolf man right before he started to drive into the night. Surprisingly it did not hurt as much as he thought it would, but there was small pained looks on his face, but other than that, the ride was very smooth.

“Okay. Take a left 2 blocks down and a right after a half mile. That would take us to the nearest building so I can glide my way to the nearest ledge.” Brooklyn said to the wolf after 20 minutes if then driving.

The wolf did everything he could to maintain a steady, smooth ride through the city streets, keeping to a moderate speed and avoiding more populated areas when possible. With the help of Brooklyn’s directions the two of them arrived at their destination without much trouble. The motorcycle turned into an alleyway behind the building before coming to a stop. “Here we are. Hope the ride wasn’t as hard on your ass as I was.“ Chip uttered with a playful chuckle, shutting the engine off.

“Not as much as something else that was hard on my ass.” He chuckled as he slowly got off if the bike and looked up. Yup. The fire escape was still there so he could get up to the top with ease as far as he could tell.

“Can yah give me a boost? Can’t exactly jump without putting too much work on my butt here.” The red gargoyle asked, pointing up to the fire escape.

The sweet embrace ended too soon for Chip’s liking, but in such a peaceful state he didn’t want to let go at all, even though he knew he had to. He gazed back at Brooklyn with a calm, loving expression. “Oh sure. They’re probably wondering why you didn’t come back last night.” He said with an understanding nod. “You wanna go by yourself or think I should go too? It’s up to you Brook. I just hope that sore behind of yours doesn’t give you any trouble.” Chip added with a light chuckle.

Brooklyn thought about it for a short while. “I think you should come with me. Plus my butt is still sore so I’m gonna need a ride back to the castle so I don’t have to keep climbing up buildings just to get up there. Less leg movement. Heheh. As long as I don’t do too much, so I should be good by tomorrow night when I’m fully healed.”

Chip gave an understanding nod and rubbed the shoulder of the gargoyle’s jacket supportively. ”Heh, alright then. Your bike ought to be safe here so no need to worry.” He assured his friend and stood up from the couch, stretching both of his legs with a small growl. Chip then reached over and picked up Brooklyn’s loincloth that lay on a nearby table. “Here, can’t forget this.” He said and tossed it over to the gargoyle.

He took they loin cloth with one hand and applied it onto his pants, actually liking how this looked so far. “Thanks, Chip.” The gargoyle rubbed his bum again and while it still hurt, it didn’t make him wince as much as earlier.

“Cute growl you have there by the way.” He had to snicker a bit at that.

“Not as cute as you look in your biker getup.“ Chip teased right back with a grin. He watched as the gargoyle strapped the loincloth over his jeans and couldn’t help but take a good look at how Brooklyn’s outfit looked. The loincloth did suit him, but he couldn’t help but think that it somehow subtracted from the overall biker look. With a shrug he out the thought aside and grinned excitedly. “Ready to get going?“

“Definitely.“He nodded and headed over to the others bike, getting his helmet fastened and slowly sat on the seat, taking a deep breath once he got into the cushion. So far so good. Small signals of pain, but nothing overbearing.
