Night-time in New York City, the time of day during which many of the city’s freaks and other strange phenomena would come out from their hiding places, and for Chip he was no exception. Tonight he found himself in a place he frequented: an old automotive junkyard which served as a particularly handy place to scrounge for parts when his motorcycle needed repairs. However, tonight he would uncover something he wouldn’t have ever expected, another fellow freak of the night.

It’s been sometime since the motorcycle incident that his rookery brother Lexington made to which he himself messed the entire vehicle up. The smaller gargoyle was definitely not happy with this development, so in an effort to make it up to him, he was scouring an automotive junkyard they went to last time to gather up the parts for the bike. Tonight he was alone, looking into piled up cars and motorcycles for the appropriate parts, being pretty cautious to not be seen by humans after what happened the last few times.

“Ugh…doing this alone is harder than it looks…” He muttered to himself as he kept looking.

“Can say the same about you’re voice. Pretty deep with the small new york accent to it. Could even tell you were tough by your muscles.” He said as he wrapped his arm would the others side and continued on with the tour in just a few more areas.

He knocked the door first before entering into the tv room that jaur consisted of a really legs t.v., a recliner and a couch. Inside would also be a more elderly gargoyle and Bronx resting on the seats. The first to look at the duo was Bronx who immediately started to smile and pant just a little bit, not wanting to leave from the couch just yet. The elderly gargoyle soon followed and saw the duo. First he had a welcoming expression when he saw the gargoyle, but a more confused one once he saw the wolf.

“Aye, Brooklyn. Was worried about you last night. This the mutant you told us about?” Said Hudson.

Chip entered into the room after Brooklyn, and caught sight of the large, bearded gargoyle. The wolf blinked a few times at the sight of Hudson. If it weren’t for a few of his more beastly features he reckoned the elder gargoyle could almost pass for a human. “Greetings!” Said Chip with an enthusiastic grin. “Yeah, I’m Brooklyn’s mutant friend. We met a couple nights back after he saved my life, ain’t that right Brook?” He gave a hearty laugh and nudged the crimson gargoyle with his elbow lightly.

The crimson gargoyle nodded and gave a small rub at his side even though it didn’t hurt or anything as he still chuckled almost nervously. “Yeah that’s right. Plus he then helped me make a brand new bike.”

“Hmpf.” The older gargoyle nodded. “Alright then. You two stay out of trouble or else you will hear it from either me or Goliath.” With that said he went back to watching his tv program as the gargoyle dog sat down next him him on the couch yet again.

Chip gave Hudson an understanding nod followed by a small salute. “Roger that!” He quipped, still smiling. He turned to Brooklyn as he made his way out of the TV room and into the hallway. “That was quicker than I would’ve thought. Hudson seems like a nice old fella, though can’t say I expected the Scottish accent. I noticed none of you guys sound like that.”

“It is weird honestly. I was raised in a castle in Scotland and yet we don’t have those accents.” The gargoyle commented then continued down the hall. “Must be due to age, but I personally have no idea.”

It was definitely a welcome change from the smog-riddled city streets he was used to. “It reminds me a lot of Central Park. Sometimes at night I go for walks in the quieter parts of the park. Makes for a nice change of pace.” Chip folded his arms and nodded with a simple smile.

“You know I still have yet to do to that place. We should go there sometime.” He smiled back at the other and gestures back to the elevator.

“Just a few more rooms and that would bebthe tour.” Plus he wanted to introduce the other to Hudson who would most likely be in the tv room.

Chip returned to the elevator once again so they could continue their tour through the castle. “You haven’t been to Central Park? Man you really oughta check it out. The place is absolutely beautiful.” He encouraged Brooklyn while leaning against the wall of the elevator going up.

“I’ll take your word for it. Plus I bet there aren’t a lot of humans out there at night too.” He said as the elevator stopped. For the time being he would show the other the laboratories, the large kitchen, Xanatos empty office as well as his assistants office.

“There is one more person I’d like you to meet. He’s usually sitting in here watching tv.” Brooklyn would say as he walked down the stone hallway. The sound of some type of tv program would increase as well as some laughter from an elderly man.

He smiled at hearing that and pulled the other a bit closer as well. “I never would have met you too.” With that said he pulled the other to a kiss, wrapping his arms around him as he did.

Without missing a beat Chip’s arms slid over Brooklyn’s shoulders to feel against his back. Their lips were pressed together in a deep, sweet kiss as he held the other male closely to his chest.

This kiss would last for just a few minutes or so until the gargoyle would pull apart with a blissful smile. “Ready to get back to the tour?”

It was hard for Chip to pull himself away from the gargoyle’s lips, but he knew they couldn’t stand around making out all night. “Heh, sure Brook. No doubt there’s a ton more for me to see here.” He grinned, resting his hand against Brooklyn’s chest.

He took the hand that rested on his chest and held it as he would lead the other back to the elevator. “Going up.” He said once the doors opened and he pressed the button yet again to head up.

Once the elevator stopped, they were in one of the glass ceiling courtyard gardens. “And here are one of the many courtyards. Plants that stay green year round in this controlled environment.”

Arriving at the next floor Chip was greeted by the surprise sight of greenery. He took a few steps out and inhaled the fresh, warm air of the greenhouse. “Now this, this is almost magical.” The canine was in awe of the sheer beauty of the courtyard. Gazing upwards he could see the stars glinting through the glass roof overhead.

“It really is in fact. A nice change of smell from whatever the city pollutes.” He smiled and took a wiff of the atmosphere as well. “Almost feels like I am I the forest in here since it stays like this for a pretty long time so it seems.
