It’s been sometime since the motorcycle incident that his rookery brother Lexington made to which he himself messed the entire vehicle up. The smaller gargoyle was definitely not happy with this development, so in an effort to make it up to him, he was scouring an automotive junkyard they went to last time to gather up the parts for the bike. Tonight he was alone, looking into piled up cars and motorcycles for the appropriate parts, being pretty cautious to not be seen by humans after what happened the last few times.
“Ugh…doing this alone is harder than it looks…” He muttered to himself as he kept looking.
While the gargoyle did not mind the hug, he really didn’t want to be choked as he tried to hug the other back and speak. “Chip. Your kind of crushing me right now!” Granted it would take a lot more than a tight hug to crush him, but then again this was a very muscular wolf so maybe it was possible for him to be crushed by Chip.
In his still somewhat sleepy state Chip hadn’t realised just how hard he was squeezing poor Brooklyn. “O-Oh, uh, sorry Brook…” He apologised with a sheepish chuckle and lightened up his hold on the crimson gargoyle. “Guess the excitement got me carried away. I’m just so happy to see you up and walking against.” Drawing back from the embrace, Chip rested his hands upon the other male’s shoulders and looked him in the eye with a soft smile. “What’s the deal with you earlier, man? When you were asleep before it seemed like you were made of stone or something.”
That gargoyle stretched his back a bit with a small pop sound and smiled back at the wolf. “Don’t worry about, Chip. It was my fault that I didn’t tell you. You see, it’s a standard for Gargoyles to turn to stone during the daytime and when night comes, we are flesh and blood once again then they cycle continues. As far as we know we can’t avoid it even if the sun is not on us directly at first.” With all of that said, he gave himself a small nervous chuckle.
“Ohh, now I understand.” Chip responded with a nod. He thought back over the last few nights and at how much of a rush Brooklyn would slip into whenever dawn approached. “That’s why you always scrambled to get home before sunrise. Can’t blame you for not wanting to get caught like that in public.”
He nodded. “There would be a possibility that I would get partially if not all they way broken if was stuck in my stone for in public all of a sudden. Plus we can’t let too many people know we exist, much less know we turn into stone the next morning.” He started to rub his own bum again just a little bit.
“On the bright side in turning to stone, whatever minor injuries we have heals during the day dependig on what it is.”
